Do You Really Believe?

Do You Really Believe?
2 Corinthians 4:13
“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.”
When a person believes something you will know it by their actions, just as Jesus said, “you will know them by their fruit.” It is one thing to profess belief in Jesus Christ, but completely another to believe to the extent that He is your Lord, your Master, whom you serve and obey. Even the demons believe in Him and tremble, but they are most certainly not saved.
Many profess to believe in Jesus Christ, but those who have genuine faith in Him will not be ashamed to speak about what He has done. If He has saved them from hell and changed their hearts, they will gladly tell others about Him and glorify His holy name! But how can we do anything but speak about the riches of the One who raised us from the dead and gave us life! He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Bright Morning Star, the First and the Last, whose name is Wonderful, Counselor, Prince of Peace and Lord of Lords!
If we have faith that all of His words are true, we will obey them. If we say that we have faith but our works do not follow, we have dead faith; For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also (James 2:26). Therefore, authentic faith in His word will be seen in our reaction to it. For example: if we see that God warns us that sexually immoral persons, unbelieving, drug users, and even liars will end up in hell (Revelations 21:8, 9), then genuine faith would produce first repentance from practicing those things ourselves and then a deep concern for others who are still living that way. If you could care less after reading such verses, do you really believe?
