Only by His Grace

Only By His Grace
John 15:5
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
We must understand this essential truth: that anything good in our lives comes from God. If it were not for Him, you wouldn’t exist, and if it were not for His Divine intervention, you would not have come to Him to be saved, if indeed you are saved (John 6:44). We are not converted by our own power, and once born again it is not of ourselves that we bear fruit unto God, but only by His wonderful grace; for without Him we can do nothing.
The one who ministers in his own strength will fail, for the crashing waves of this life hit hard, knocking us to the ground. But those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength, and will mount up on wings like eagles, soaring above the turbulence of the storm (Isaiah 40:31).
Even Paul the apostle came to a place of utter despair while in Asia, feeling as though he was under the sentence of death. This happened so that his trust would not be in his own feeble ability but in the exceeding power of God, who alone could deliver him (2 Corinthians 1:8- 10). And God did deliver him, and used him mightily to spread the gospel across the globe!
You see, we must not depend on ourselves; we mustn’t! For we are nothing without God and apart from Him we can do NOTHING! It is in Him that we live and move and have our being, so we have to come to a place where we remove all reliance upon our own greatness, and lean on YHWY’s everlasting arm; for His strength is unfailing and His wisdom unsearchable.
Rely on His great power today, and you will find that all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Trust in the LORD with all your heart and don’t lean on your own understanding. Pour out your lives in His service, and you will do great things; for His grace is sufficient for you!
