Stand For Truth

Stand For Truth

1 Peter 4:11

“If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God.”

When Moses walked the earth, he spoke for God and was hated by many; centuries later however, the Pharisees spoke well of him as if they would of liked him. But just as their forefathers did, they too would want to stone Moses if he lived during their age, and they proved it because of their hatred for their present prophets, namely John the Baptist and Jesus Himself, who were both killed for their words.

And you also, man or woman of God, must resolve within yourself that you will live to please God and no one else, for you cannot please both. If you speak for God, as we are commanded, you will be hated by the world (John 15:18); you will also be misunderstood by your brothers and sisters at times. Do not be disheartened, for before you there was a great cloud of witnesses who also lived for the will of the Father (Hebrews 11; Hebrews 12:1); They were stoned, sawn in two, beaten, they hid in caves and wandered about in sheep skins, of whom the world was not worthy. For with God, the last will be first and the first last. He is the One you are to aim to please (2 Corinthians 5:9).

So press on, dear soldiers, and set your eyes on the One who went before you, the Author and Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He brought light into a sinful world, and laid hold of the cross, despising the shame, because He looked passed that to the joy of knowing that millions upon millions who sat in darkness would see a great light, be loosed from the chains of judgment and receive everlasting life! Yes, let that be the apple of your eye my friends. For when you speak God’s word faithfully to the world, they will be convicted, they will get angry, they will despise you as they hated your Master, but be of good cheer, look past the shame; look unto the many souls that might be saved from everlasting destruction because of the power of your message. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to those who believe..” Romans 1:16

Sodom and Gomorrah

Sodom and Gomorrah

Jude 7

“As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

Recently I have been very disgusted to hear that people are now pushing our nation to tolerate and accept pedophilia. Pedophilia is a heinous crime and should be strictly punished, as children are being victimized and manipulated for the perpetrators selfish pleasure. Below is a video on Hulu promoting child/ adult relationships; the whole video is geared towards causing the viewer to accept the concept of a boy marrying a grown man:  https://vimeo.com/user21156251/bravestknight. There is actually an organization called N.A.M.b.L.A. that fights to change the laws that hinder adults from sexually assaulting children. Another article shows that even Cambridge University in England has allowed the promotion of such wicked views to infiltrated their establishment: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/10948796/Paedophilia-is-natural-and-normal-for-males.html

It should make everyone of you sick, and the promoters of such should be thrown into jail; but sadly, the way our country is going, people like me will probably sooner be thrown into jail for speaking truth while pedophiles are cheered on for coming out of the closet with their brave new concepts.

Folks, this is the end result of the satanic spirit of tolerance in our world. When we are pressured to just accept every form of sin, then the floodgates are opened and every filthy desire of hell comes rushing through. When God’s moral standards are rejected, even by professing Christians, and when those who stand on moral absolutes are considered “haters” for actually saying something is “wrong”, the result is that “all goes”! Since there are no boundaries, America praises a man for becoming a woman; since there are no moral standards, America defends the right for a man who is gender confused to use a woman’s restroom regardless of the danger that a little girl might be in there. Since God’s ways are thrown out, the 6,000 year old definition of married is redefined, allowing men to marry men and adopt little boys. And now, since the walls are down and everyone is tolerant of everything accept truth, the devil will drive home his perverted agenda and the world will simply accept it; even protect and promote it. Lord have mercy on us.

I must proclaim that God is holy! He will by no means clear the guilty (Numbers 14:18). Drunkenness is wrong, homosexuality is wrong, hatred is wrong, fornication and lust are wrong, idolatry, covetousness, greed, selfishness, not loving God,  not loving others are all wrong, and those who practice such things will by NO MEANS enter the kingdom of heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9- 11; Galatians 5:19- 21) . Unless the world repents it will perish (Luke 13:3). The stench of perversion in Sodom and Gomorrah finally reached heaven and God had enough; He rained fire and brimstone upon them all as an example to us of His holy retribution. Even today you can find balls of sulfur lodged into rocks in the vicinity of Sodom and Gomorrah, more condensed (98% sulfur) than any other place on earth. Billy Graham’s wife, after reading her husband’s book about the conditions of America, proclaimed that if God does not judge America soon then He owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology.

God must punish sin, and He will. Look at the bloody cross and realize that that was supposed to be you; it was supposed to be me. Because Jesus died, you can be forgiven. Because He was raised, you can live forever. Please, let us all turn from the wickedness of this life and put our faith in the Lord Jesus. Let us follow Him down the difficult path of righteousness while the world continues loving evil. The wrath of God is coming and will be executed against all unrighteousness and ungodliness of men, consuming them with unquenchable fire. Throw yourself upon the mercies of Christ today, and escape the judgments to come. God is rich in mercy and is willing to wash your sins away, never again to be remembered.

Surrender to the God that made you, the God who gave you life. His hands are stretched out to you today… will you come to Him?

Is God Angry at Me?

Is God Angry at Me?
1 Peter 1:16, 17
“Because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’ And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;”
If you were to hear someone say that God is angry with people, would your response be, “that’s not my God!” ? If so, let us examine the Scriptures together to see if your God is indeed the God of the Bible. Today, in an age of tolerance for everything except “truth”, our minds have been conditioned to accept an idolatrous image of God, one who is indifferent to sin and kindly accepts all manner of wickedness. Almost all of our songs are about love, love, love, and many people lack an understanding of the holiness of God.
Contrary to popular belief, God is angry with the wicked every day. If He were not angry at sinners then Jesus would not have been crucified in our place. Saying that God does not have righteous anger towards a hateful, adulterous and rebellious world is the same as saying that a judge is indifferent towards murders and rapists. God has to punish our wicked deeds because He is just. It is in His abundant mercy and love for His enemies that He provided Jesus as our Substitute; the Just being punished for the unjust.
Read the following Scriptures carefully and fear God. Psalms 7:11- 13 says, “God is a just Judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If He does not turn back He will sharpen His sword, He bends His bow and makes it ready. He prepares for Himself instruments of death; He makes His arrows into fiery shafts.“ You can either chose to believe what God says about Himself and fear Him, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), or you can reject Scripture and worship an idol. But those who are His know His voice and will submit to truth.
Let us go on: the God of the Bible actually kills people. God killed two men because He did not like their conduct (Genesis 38:7,10), He struck Uzzah dead for touching the Ark of the Covenant in disobedience (2 Samuel 6:7) and He destroyed a fully populated world with a flood because the intent of their hearts were only evil continually (Genesis 6:5-7). He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with eternal fire because of their homosexuality and immorality (Jude vs.7). He killed 23,000 Israelites in one day for sexual immorality, and we are told that it was written as a warning for us who want to live the same way (1 Corinthians 10:6, 8). Now let’s go to the New Testament to see if God (who never changes) has changed: After Jesus established His Church, God killed Ananias and Sapphira for lying to the Holy Spirit, and the fear of God came over His people (Acts 5:1- 10). Today we see ministers doing the opposite, robbing people of holy fear by preaching a watered down message that say God is not angry at you. But Jesus said not to fear men but to fear the One who has the power to kill you and cast your soul into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him (Luke 12: 5). Even today the world is reserved to be judged by fire (2 Peter 3:7), and Revelations tells us that Jesus, the Lamb will tread the wine press of God’s wrath (Revelations 19:5; 6:16). John 3:36 says, “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
So where do you stand, dear friend, are you still at war with your Creator or have you made peace with Him through the blood of the cross? God’s holy nature will not be compromised. He will do what is right and should be feared. Know that He offers us mercy today, and has no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but He will not be mocked. What you sow in life, that you will reap in eternity (Galatians 6:7-9); either death or life, so chose life and enjoy a right relationship with the Living God. And you will live forever with Him! He is rich in mercy to the humble of heart, and will give you an inheritance with His Son Jesus Christ.

The Prosperity Gospel Exposed

The Prosperity Gospel Exposed

Ezekiel 34:1- 4

“And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophecy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them.’’”

Today we have many Televangelists who feed on the flock rather than care for their needs. They are false shepherds, false prophets and false teachers, and unless they repent their judgment will be so sever (James 3:1), for they cause the name of Jesus to be blasphemed among unbelievers. It grieves the Holy Spirit, and it grieves my heart to see.

Take a look at these pictures and decide for yourself what you think:

This is where these preachers lay their head, and their transportation.

ImageImage

This is where Jesus laid His head and His transportation. See the difference?

Jesus told us not to lay up treasures for ourselves on this earth, but in the life to come (Matthew 6:19- 21). With all the millions these people spend on their own pleasures and comforts (tax free), they could be using to further the kingdom of God, they could be feeding and housing the poor, they could be supporting other ministries that are helping the persecuted Church around the world. Jesus said, “sell what you have and give to the poor, provide yourselves money bags that do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that will not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys, for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Luke 12:33, 34)

You can see where these peoples treasure is; it’s on the earth where their heart is. These false teachers have smooth speech by which they convince people, flattering them for their own advantage. They even deceive and confuse you by using some truths, so that you believe they are from God, yet their message is different than that of Christ’s. He tells us to go to the cross and die to this life; they, like satan, tell us not to die to this world, but rather they give us license to live for the world and its possessions (1 John 2:15- 17). Jesus said we cannot serve both God and mammon (worldly riches), for we will love one and hate the other (Luke 16:13). He even goes on to tell a parable of a rich man who dresses lavishly and fared sumptuously every day, while ignoring the poor beggar at his gate. The rich man ended up in hell.

Instead of preaching that people are free to pursue riches for themselves in Jesus name, they should be preaching the gospel; that people must repent and put their trust in Jesus to have eternal life. They should be encouraging a money loving country to die to themselves, pick up their cross and follow Jesus. But because the Spirit of God is not in them (Jude 1:19), they won’t. Instead they will persuade you to send them your money so they can “do God’s work”, while people hope that God will bless them for sending their money to these guys. There are stories of people sending these preachers much of their life savings, in hopes of being healed or becoming prosperous, yet dying without hope. That is so sad.

Never support a ministry that focuses so much on money; that continually asks for your support. Rather look to those ministries where their main focus is on God’s real work of reaching others. Ministries like “Voice of the Martyrs”, “Living waters”, “Hearts Cry”, Good Fight ministries or End Time Research Ministry whose focus is to help strengthen you to reach others, who even offer free books and magazines to strengthen your Christian faith. They love God and seek to do His will.

A minister is supposed to give to you. We are called to care about your life and your soul. We are supposed to lay down our lives for your sake, just as the Good Shepherd laid down His life for us (John 10:11). We are called to live humbly and modestly, not with fancy clothing and rich apparel, so that those who want to reproach us will have nothing to say (1 Peter 2:11, 12; 1 Peter 3:3)

To end this, read Paul’s words to Timothy: (1Timothy 6:5-11) “useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.”

(1 Timothy 6:17- 19) “Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”

There we have it. Material itself is not evil, but man’s heart is, and often riches turn people away from God; therefore Scripture strongly warns us about desiring them. But we must be thankful for all that God does give us, as all of His gifts are good. Above all we must be ready to use what we have for the glory of God, to give to others, and to focus on eternal things, not earthly wealth.

Intolerance

In-tolerance

Matthew 10:34

“Do not think I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.”

Inline image 1

There is a wave of influence in the world today which is not a new spirit but is as old as the Tower of Babel. In Genesis 11, all men spoke the same language, and they as one unit planned on making a name for themselves. The problem is that they didn’t want their Creator in the picture, but in pride, they wanted to be the god of the universe. This will always happen until sin is done away with and God makes all things new.

The word “tolerance” means to accept the differing views of other people in religious or political matters. While Jesus commanded us to love our enemies, He in no way told us to live in peace with their wrong views. On the contrary, Jesus tells us He did not come to bring peace but a sword. The truth will inevitably produce controversy, even as light conflicts with darkness.

God will in no way tolerate sin. He is light, and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). There is not even a shadow of turning in Him. Jesus said He is the Truth (John 14:6), and that truth will stand forever. Scripture says that the LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, that He does forgive iniquity and transgression, but He “by no means” clears the guilty (Numbers 14:18). God is merciful enough to send His only Son to be crucified in our place, but outside of Christ there is NO place of forgiveness. For those who reject Jesus and continue in sin, God will not tolerate it, nor should He.

Many in the “Church” world today have given into this spirit of tolerance; preachers and denominations are surrendering the truth so they may please sinful man, instead of pleasing God. It grieves my heart so much, even though Scripture warned that these times would come. The Presbyterian denomination just removed the song “In Christ alone” out of their hymnal simply because it says, “on that cross as Jesus died, the wrath of God was satisfied.” They even asked the song writers to change the verse to “on that cross as Jesus died, the love of God was magnified”, and the writers refused, saying they wrote the song to present the whole gospel. That’s alarming to me, that these people want to replace the word wrath with love. I’m sorry, but it’s God’s word, and He says He that we are saved from wrath through Jesus (Romans 5:9, John 3:36). (If God didn’t have righteous anger towards wickedness, then He would be unjust and unholy). I have also seen multiple Churches in Hollywood (united Methodist being one of them) that have signs declaring that they support equality for all (supporting homosexuals).

Now we are commanded to love all people, but not to align ourselves with them. Scripture says to come out from among them and be separate, and do not touch what is unclean, and the LORD would receive us and make us His sons and daughters (2 Corinthians 6:14- 18). For what communion does light have with darkness and what fellowship does righteousness with lawlessness? We must stay faithful to preach the whole truth of God, and teach others of God’s perfect character: His love, His holiness, His righteousness, His justice, His judgment, His mercy, His grace, His goodness and His severity.

In failing to do so we are not only “not loving” enough to warn people of the truth, but also there awaits a heavier judgment, for Jesus said it would be better to tie a millstone around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble (Matthew 18:6). Teachers who mislead the flock will have to face the wrath of God for all the people they led to destruction. That is why we are told that teachers will receive a stricter judgment. (James 3:1)

Therefore the conclusion of the matter is to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbor as ourselves. And because we love God we will be faithful to declare all that He has said to others. And because we love others, we will tell them the truth in humility, with a gentle spirit, so that God might perhaps grant them repentance and that they might come to know the truth, turn from their sin and be delivered from death (2 Timothy 2:24- 26).

Please study the word of God daily to see whether these things are so.

Someone who loves each of you,

 Jonathan Ball
